Uniform Shop
Curtin Primary has devised a practical, easy to maintain and cost-effective uniform based on the school’s colour code. Students are encouraged to conform to the requirements. All items offered through the uniform shop are at a very competitive price and in some cases are actually cheaper than retail. Great time and energy is taken to provide the best quality item for the lowest price. All money raised through the uniform shop is directed back into the school community via the P&C. The shop also carries a limited supply of second hand uniforms for sale. The shop is owned by the P&C and is staffed by volunteers.
Hats
All students are required to wear a hat as part of the school’s sun smart policy. Please note that caps are not as effective as bucket or legionnaire hats and as such are not acceptable.
Jewellery
Jewellery should be kept to a minimum at all times for safety reasons. Pierced earrings should be studs or small sleepers. Excessive chains around the neck or limbs are potentially dangerous. The students work with a wide range of equipment and are also engaged in physical activities.
Inappropriate Attire
Curtin Primary regards singlets, thongs, board shorts, suggestive writings or graphics on clothing as inappropriate attire for school.
Sportswear
Children are not expected to change attire for participation in PE/Sports classes.
Year Six Shirts
Year Six students are permitted to wear a specially ordered polo shirt with the names are printed on the back. The school's name and logo remain on the front of the shirt. These shirts are ordered and delivered early each academic year.
